McKinney’s StatLab Medical Products, a developer and manufacturer of anatomic pathology diagnostic supplies, has acquired BBC Biochemical, a chemical supply company. The investment shows StatLab’s commitment to giving anatomic pathology labs access to the highest quality products, and represents its growth as a company.
StatLab solutions empower anatomic pathologists, who study the effects of disease on organs as a whole and microscopically, to detect cancer earlier and improve outcomes. CEO Dan Eckert said the acquisition further positions the company as a leading manufacturer of cancer diagnostics for labs and other companies in the U.S. and globally.
“Together, with increased manufacturing capabilities and capacity, StatLab now offers unparalleled access to formalin prefills throughout the United States, and has expanded the reach of our international OEM business,” he said.
BBC Biochemical, based in Mount Vernon, Washington, provides various products and services to laboratories. It was founded around three decades ago by a pathologist who wanted to improve the quality of anatomic pathology supplies. StatLab said on LinkedIn that BBC Biochemical shares its “passionate commitment to providing quality products and services to customers.”
“This partnership with StatLab brings even greater product access, faster delivery, and product support to our customers,” BBC Biochemical President Adrian Biesecker said.
