Entrepreneurs and change-makers have gathered in downtown Dallas this week for the fifth edition of Dallas Startup Week, powered by Capital One. Roughly 10,000 attendees are participating in the free, five-day event put together by The Dallas Entrepreneur Center, along with more than 100 industry leaders and volunteers.
Throughout #DSW19, Dallas Innovates is tracking it all—starting here with Day 1.

Nickson, the Dallas full-service furniture rental company, designed the Innovation Lounge at Basecamp on the 13th floor of Ross Tower throughout Dallas Startup Week. The company intends each space designed for the lounge to be representative of a different area in Dallas, highlighting the city’s most distinctive neighborhoods from Bishop Arts to Uptown and Deep Ellum.
Beyond the lounge, Nickson CEO and founder Cameron Johnson spoke on a panel at the Spaces McKinney office, sharing his thoughts on how companies can add value to the apartment experience.
To celebrate the 5th anniversary of Dallas Startup Week, the Official Launch Party was held at Capital Factory + The DEC Network, and featured Startup Alley, a showcase of local startups. Check out scenes from the event—and see if you can spot yourself in the crowd.
