Application No., Date, Speed: 17725911 on 04/21/2022 (698 days app to issue)

Abstract: A fast burst program sequence that reduces overall NAND flash programming time is disclosed. The burst program sequence includes maintaining a charge pump in an ON state and not fully discharging the WL/BLs at the conclusion of the programming phase of each program operation. As a result, the fast burst program sequence provides total program time savings over an existing cache program sequence by eliminating the full WL/BL discharge and charge pump reset that conventionally occurs after each program operation, which in turn, allows for the transfer of next page data from the page buffer to the data latches to be hidden within the program time of a prior/current program operation.

Assignee(s): Micron Technology, Inc. (Boise, ID)
Law Firm: Schwegman Lundberg Woessner, P.A. (11 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 18117900 on 03/06/2023 (379 days app to issue)

Abstract: Devices and techniques for programmable atomic operator resource locking are described herein. A request for a programmable atomic operator (PAO) can be received at a memory controller that includes a programmable atomic unit (PAU). Here, the request includes an identifier for the PAO and a memory address. The memory addressed is processed to identify a lock value. A verification can be performed to determine that the lock value indicates that there is no lock corresponding to the memory address. Then, the lock value is set to indicate that there is now a lock corresponding to the memory address and the PAO is invoked based on the identifier for the PAO. In response to completion of the PAO, the lock value is set to indicate that there is no longer a lock corresponding to the memory address.

Free flow data path architectures
Patent No. 11935622

Law Firm: SHEPPARD, MULLIN, RICHTER HAMPTON LLP (7 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 17725441 on 04/20/2022 (699 days app to issue)

Abstract: A data path architecture and corresponding method of operation are disclosed that permit a first-in-first out (FIFO) buffer to immediately flush dataincluding potentially invalid initial byte(s)upon receipt of a high-speed clock signal, and according to which, a delay difference between a data path clock signal and a high-speed clock signal is compensated for at a controller side by, for example, adjusting RE latency to discard/ignore the initially invalid bytes rather than by modifying FIFO depth or varying a number of delay stages in the high-speed clock signal path in order to satisfy the FIFO depth. Because FIFO depth is not used to absorb the clock signal delay difference, there is no need to modify the architecture (e.g., change the depth of a FIFO) to accommodate variation in the clock signal delay difference across different products/product generations, thereby providing high scalability.

Compensation for historical error in dynamic observer-based ripple detection in brushed direct current motors
Patent No. 11936325

Inventor(s): Kaushik Alwala (Nalgonda, , IN), Venkata Naresh Kotikelapudi (Bangalore, , IN)
Assignee(s): TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INCORPORATED (Dallas, TX)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 17680577 on 02/25/2022 (753 days app to issue)

Abstract: A motor control system and method for a brushed direct current (BDC) motor using a compensated and corrected ripple count. Motor control circuitry, for example implemented in digital logic such as a microcontroller, receives a coil current signal and a motor voltage signal. Discontinuities in the coil current signal, are counted to generate a ripple count. An observer function derives an angular frequency model estimate using a computational model for the motor applying motor parameters estimated in an initial estimation interval following startup of the motor. A corrected ripple count is generated based on a comparison of a commutation angle of the motor with an angular position based on the angular frequency model estimate. Compensation for cumulative error over the initial estimation interval is derived from a behavioral motor model applying the estimated motor parameters. A motor drive signal is adjusted based on the compensated corrected ripple count.
