TND Geomatics Names New COO Through Partnership With TEI Consulting

TEI Consulting Founder Benjamin Robertson will lead expansion at the growing Richland Hills surveying firm while continuing to run his consulting firm, in a dual-role arrangement forged through Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber connections.

A partnership forged through the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has landed Benjamin Robertson in the chief operating officer role at Richland Hills-based TND Geomatics, as the five-year-old land surveying firm eyes expansion across North Texas.

Robertson, who founded Fort Worth consulting firm TEI, took the COO post on August 1. He’ll lead operational strategy, business development, and market expansion while maintaining his role at TEI Consulting.

The appointment connects two active chamber members who regularly crossed paths at industry events. Both firms credited the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber with facilitating the partnership, which comes as TND builds on five years of growth since its 2020 founding.

“Ben’s operational expertise, business acumen, and deep community ties make him the perfect leader to help us scale our land surveying operations,” TND owners Linda A. Lopez and Joe Cortez said in a LinkedIn announcement this week. “We are excited about the innovation, efficiency, and growth he will help drive for our clients and our team.”

Robertson brings more than two decades of construction industry experience from Byrne Construction Services, where he became the youngest vice president in company history. The fifth-generation Fort Worth native has also served on multiple community boards while building TEI Consulting into a business advisory firm.

TND Geomatics serves land developers, engineers, architects, title companies, and landowners across North Texas. The firm said its team brings more than 75 years of combined surveying experience.

The company has developed a mentor-protégé program aimed at building the next generation of surveyors and business leaders—a response to workforce shortages plaguing the technical surveying field.

Robertson’s appointment comes as Dallas-Fort Worth’s construction boom drives demand for surveying services. The region has consistently ranked among the nation’s top metros for building permits and new development.

Neither company disclosed financial terms or specific growth targets for the partnership.
