Texas Health Fort Worth is the first hospital in the state to be recognized by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses for its successful patient outcomes and unit performance in neurosurgical intensive care.
The medical association recognized the Fort Worth hospital recently with its silver-level Beacon Award, an honor given to hospital units that “meet and exceed standards” and have a commitment to continuous learning and offering effective systems for patient care, according to D CEO Healthcare.
“Nurses working in the Neurosurgical ICU are committed to working collaboratively to meet and exceed the rigorous standards set forth by the Beacon Award,” Sherri Thacker-Williams, neurosurgical ICU manager at Texas Health Fort Worth, told D CEO Healthcare.
The hospital is one of only 11 neurosurgical ICU facilities in the U.S. to achieve silver-level status.
