BILT Is Among 3 Texas Companies to Land New AFWERX/SpaceWERX Funding

AFWERX said that many small businesses face a “valley of death” funding gap between developing a prototype and securing the resources for full-scale deployment. The new funding strengthens U.S. military links to Grapevine's BILT, which creates 3D interactive instructions apps.

Astrapi has been awarded its second Phase II SBIR contract from the U.S. Air Force's AFWERX program. The goal: enable warfighters to get more info while using less signal power.
The project complements another Astrapi project funded with support from the U.S. Space Force—using spiral modulation in a miniaturized radio suitable for Low Earth Orbit deployment. The two contracts total nearly $1.5 million in the past four months, leveraging tech with applications in commercial markets as well.
