Don't look down: Rendering of Tormenta: Rampaging Run, a world-record-setting giga dive coaster opening this month at Six Flags Over Texas. [Image: Six Flags]
Six Flags calls Tormenta: Rampaging Run "the tallest, fastest, longest, first-and-only giga dive coaster in the world." At its highest point, the 309-foot-tall dive coaster offers a "breathtaking and panoramic" view of Arlington, Dallas-Fort Worth, and the adventure park far below.
It would be amazing if Six Flag's Tormenta Rampaging Run broke just one dive coaster world record. But it's slated to break six—from 309-foot heights to 87 MPH speeds to 285 foot drops to three other reasons many will find absolutely thrilling. (Others may say "No way!" so often, a seventh world record could be in store, too.)
