The Opportunity 2040 Plan from from Dallas-based nonprofits Commit Partnership and Child Poverty Action Lab has a goal of cutting cut by half the number of children living in poverty in Dallas County while doubling the number of young adults attaining a living wage by 2040. The Dallas effort is one of three fundraising partnerships with New York-based Blue Meridian Partners and local and regional funders that have raised a total of $335 million.
The Cooper Institute launched FitnessGram in 1982 as "the first student fitness report card." Today FitnessGram assesses health-related components of fitness for more than 10 million students in over 10,000 U.S. schools. Now Cooper is partnering with Dallas-based GreenLight Credentials to use its blockchain platform to help students and schools alike securely store and share the records.
