The federal ARPA-E award adds to the Dallas-based company’s momentum as it advances next-generation battery materials and builds out new power tech for AI data centers.
Slated for commercial launch in Q1 2026, the company's PEAK Series system offers up to 30% space reduction while delivering battery life that's up to three times longer than conventional backup power systems, Solidion said.
Solidion—an advanced battery tech solutions provider headquartered in Dallas with production facilities in Dayton, Ohio—said its newly patented technology uses a graphene-based heat spreader to quickly move heat from a battery to warm it up before or during fast charging, and a cooling system that kicks in when the battery is in use.
Solidion Technology's patented bipolar electrode-to-pack (BEEP) tech aims to simplify the design and manufacture of solid-state EV batteries. It does that by requiring only one casing and a small number of connectors, instead of the hundreds of housings and connectors required by today’s EV batteries.
