Chris Shacklett has served since February as interim director. Previously, he was assistant director of development services and planning for the North Texas city—one of many roles he's held there over the last 17 years.
Bill Sproull, president and CEO of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce and industry trade group Tech Titans, has resigned, saying he is leaving to “pursue other opportunities.” The move is effective immediately.
As he departs with praise from the Richardson Chamber board, the two organizations say they will appoint interim leaders while they make decisions about new leadership.
Next-gen DLT developer Hedera Hashgraph has leased over 11,000 square feet at Richardson's 3400 at CityLine to house its global headquarters. The office is slated to open by fall 2019, and will join other Hedera offices in New York City and San Francisco.
