Frontier Communications Relocates Its HQ to Dallas, Bringing 3,000 Jobs and $3.8B Economic Impact Over 10 Years

The fiber broadband giant's move from Connecticut establishes it as one of the largest publicly traded companies to be based in the Dallas market, Frontier said. The company is investing in a new 95,000-square-foot office space—which it calls "the GigaHub"—in Uptown Dallas.

According to a new report from Redfin, Dallas-Fort Worth's gravitational pull continued to exert itself in January. DFW was the No. 6 metro in the U.S. among the Top 10 Metros Homebuyers Are Moving Into, the report shows. And the metro that lost the most residents to DFW-bound homebuyers was Los Angeles. The report says DFW homes sell "for roughly half" of the typical L.A. home, which costs $800,000.
