The young entrepreneurs will present their innovative business ideas at the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship national finals in New York on Oct. 8 to compete for the National Champion title and cash prizes.
Students from six Dallas ISD schools took part in the STEM BizCamp sponsored by the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship. The three winners pitched startups focused on interior design, floral bouquets, and a chemical-free false eyelash adhesive.
The local winners were led by Lodias Martinet from the Grand Prairie School for the Highly Gifted, who won first place for Style Selector, an app that generates outfits for those who don’t know what to wear.
