Keurig Dr Pepper Closes $18B JDE Peet’s Acquisition, Names CEO of Future Global Coffee Co.

After an integration period, KDP plans to separate into two independent, U.S.-listed publicly traded companies, creating a Frisco-based Beverage Co. and a Global Coffee Co., based in Burlington, Massachusetts, with international headquarters in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Rafael Oliveira will be CEO of the future Global Coffee Co. and Keurig Dr Pepper CEO Tim Cofer will serve as CEO of the future Beverage Co.

Anthony DiSilvestro joins KDP at a pivotal moment as it moves to close its $18 billion acquisition of Netherlands-based JDE Peet's. His "significant" M&A experience will advance the combined company's integration and its ultimate split into two "winning companies," CEO Tim Cofer said.

The company, with headquarters in Frisco and Burlington, Massachusetts, said Tim Cofer will join KDP on Nov. 6 and will work alongside current Chairman and CEO Bob Gamgort while in a COO capacity, with a planned transition to CEO in the second quarter of 2024.
After the transition, Gamgort will become executive chairman of Keurig Dr Pepper.

Frisco-based Keurig and The Rolling Stones announced the launch today of their limited-edition "Start Me Up" iced coffee kit. The bespoke kit was produced in partnership with Bravado, Universal Music Group's merchandise and brand management company. Keurig is hoping the kit will "channel the band's electrifying spirit" to help people "turn up their summer."
