The University of Texas at Arlington’s reputation as a national leader in online education has received a tangible boost by earning major gains in the 2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs rankings. UTA’s College of Education’s online programs, for example, placed in the top 5% nationally.

UTA alumnus Kelcy Warren, executive chairman and chairman of the board of directors of Dallas-based Energy Transfer LP, has made a $12 million gift to help elevate UT Arlington to the forefront of the growing resource and energy engineering (REE) field. "Texas faces a critical need for highly skilled graduates who can manage energy resources," Warren says, "and this innovative REE program will help meet that demand.”
