Synergen Technology Labs has received a newly granted patent for a baby monitor that delivers sound or light based on an infant's sleep schedule and vital signs. Invented by a Dallas-based team—Mel Gunawardena, Prabath Gallage, Pradeep Pathirana, and Sunil Konda—the system uses data such as pulse oximetry, Doppler monitoring, or temperature sensing to trigger calming responses.
