The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas and six member banks awarded the grants through the 2025 Partnership Grant Program. Nonprofits can apply for the next round in spring 2026.
“We have options for homeowners and renters through our programs, which provide very low- to moderate-income residents, older residents. and people with disabilities access to affordable housing,” says FHLB Dallas President and CEO Sanjay Bhasin.
Oak Lawn Place will provide "high-quality affordable rental housing" for residents 55 and over, with "a further goal of creating a supportive environment for members of the LGBTQ community and individuals affected by HIV in Dallas," Resource Center has said.
The $20.5 million project, developed by the Resource Center of Dallas and Volunteers of America, will provide LGBTQ older adults (62+) with affordable rental housing. An artist's rendering by architecture firm Perkins & Will shows the current concept for the apartments that will be located near Maple Avenue and Mockingbird Lane in Dallas.
