The chess world will turn its brainy gaze to North Texas on October 4, when "Checkmate: USA vs. India" hits the boards at Esports Stadium Arlington. The global chess showdown will feature five-time U.S. Champion Hikaru Nakamura taking on the current World Chess Champion, India's Gukesh Dommaraju—along with other headline-grabbing pairings.

The fully immersive "Smurf Experience" will open May 7 at Esports Stadium Arlington and run through the summer—offering nine mission-based zones filled with interactive scavenger hunts, obstacle courses, virtual reality adventures, and Smurf "meet-and-greets." Also coming this summer: a "Smurfs" movie from Paramount.

Plano-headquartered Pizza Hut is this year serving as an official sponsor of EA and the NFL's Madden NFL 20 Championship Series. As part of the deal, the virtual in-game stadium experience will be referred to as “Pizza Hut Stadium.”
