The orders for AIrbus, Boeing, and Embraer aircraft are part of American's continued investment to expand premium seats across its narrowbody and regional fleets—while supporting the long-term strength of its domestic and short-haul international network. With the move, American says it will offer more premium seats than any other U.S. airline.

Using computational fluid dynamics modeling, Aero Design Labs creates a 'high-definition map" of Boeing 737 aircraft. Then it works with partners to develop a drag reduction kit that can save fuel costs and reduce carbon emissions. "Each part of the kit plays a part in capturing and redirecting the airflow, providing a holistic solution to reduce drag," ADL's Chief Commercial Officer Chris Jones told Dallas Innovates.
