TPG, Blackstone Take Hologic Private in $18.3B Deal; José Almeida Named CEO

Hologic’s mission is to advance detection and care to improve health outcomes for women worldwide, said Alex Albert, a partner at Fort Worth- and San Francisco-based TPG. In connection with the deal's close, José Almeida has been appointed CEO of Massachusetts-based Hologic, effective immediately.
