Katlyn Byrnes will serve as architecture and design consultant for the Dallas office of Studio Other, a creator of custom solutions for commercial interior environments and workspaces.
Barnes comes to Studio Other with over eight years of experience working in contract furniture and previously was Teknion’s architecture and design (A&D) market manager, working with a range of Dallas clients, including the Texas Rangers, JPMorgan, and Wingstop.
“I love that Studio Other understands that one size does not fit all,” Byrnes said in a statement. “We aren’t your cookie-cutter furniture solution — we believe in a collaborative and engaging ‘co-design’ process that allows us to bring our client’s vision to life.”
At Studio Other, Byrnes will work mostly on building the Studio Other brand in Texas and overseeing important A&D relationships. The firm said that her main objective will be to stir up the local market, connecting with DFW-based clients who are interested in a different approach to furniture.
Studio Other specializes in creating tailored workspaces, unique to each client through a process of co-design with client end goals at the forefront.
While relying on manufacturing workspace scopes on both small- and large-scale projects, Studio Other is methodical when it comes to its mass customization approach, the company said.
Some recent projects in the Dallas region include Neiman Marcus, Frontier, Jefferson Lumen home/work Coworking, Saatchi & Saatchi, and FLYR Labs.
