Purpose Legal Names Former Ocelot CEO as Its Chief Operating Officer

Since March 2024, Talin Andonians has served as an Advisory Board director for Purpose Legal, providing strategic and operational guidance to the senior leadership team.

Veteran executive Talin Andonians has been named chief operating officer of Dallas-based Purpose Legal, a provider of digital forensics, eDiscovery, document review, and complex legal support services. She will lead the company’s global operations and client service delivery.

She’ll oversee global operations and client service delivery as the firm expands its footprint and capabilities in the legal technology space, according to a company announcement.

Purpose Legal CEO Greg Mazares, who previously worked with Andonians, called her “an outstanding general manager with a track record of operational excellence, strategic vision, and people-first leadership.”

“She’s exactly the proven leader we need to guide us through our next phase of growth,” Mazares said in a statement.

From advisor to executive

Andonians joined Purpose Legal’s advisory board in March 2024 and has worked closely with the leadership team since. Her move into the COO role reflects both her familiarity with the business and her alignment with its strategy and mission, the company said.

She brings more than two decades of experience leading high-growth, tech-enabled service organizations. Most recently, she was CEO of Ocelot, a provider of AI-powered communication tools for colleges and universities. Under her leadership, the company expanded rapidly, helping institutions improve enrollment and retention through digital transformation—and achieving major private equity backing in the process.

Earlier in her career, Andonians served as COO of Discovia, a leading eDiscovery company that was later acquired by Lighthouse Global. Over eight years, she led efforts in product development, process automation, and client success.

A focus on innovation, talent, and client service

Andonians said Purpose Legal’s culture and focus were what drew her to the role.

“Purpose Legal’s client-focused culture, innovative approach, and talented people position us to lead the industry forward,” she said. “I look forward to working closely with Greg, Kris, and the entire team to deliver exceptional value to our clients and fuel our continued growth.”

Kris Taylor, president of Purpose Legal, said Andonians’ mix of strategy and operational discipline will help shape the company’s next chapter.

“Her combination of operational rigor, strategic insight, and commitment to developing people will help accelerate our progress toward becoming a company of choice and trusted partner in litigation services and technology,” Taylor said.
