Plano-Based BGSF Names Former Novipax Buyer CEO as Its New CFO

The consulting and staffing company said Keith Schroeder has more than 40 years of experience in accounting, corporate control and reporting, finance, operations, and CEO and CFO strategic roles.

Plano-based BGSF, a national consulting and staffing company, announced the appointment of Keith Schroeder to be chief financial officer as part of a company succession plan. Schroeder will succeed John Barnett, who’s served as CFO since 2023.

The appointment is effective after its annual report on Form 10-K is filed for fiscal year 2024, the company said.

“We’re pleased to welcome Keith to the company as BGSF’s incoming finance leader and CFO,” Beth Garvey, chair, president, and CEO, said in a statement. “Keith brings a wealth of strategic, operational, and financial leadership to our organization. His background demonstrates a successful history of collaborating and implementing strategic initiatives.

“Keith is skilled at approaching his role with straightforward, practical solutions resulting in repeatable processes at the lowest possible cost to the organization,” she said.

Garvey also praised Barnett, the outgoing CFO. “I want to thank John for his hard work during a highly transformational and important time in the Company’s history,” she said. “Everyone at BGSF joins me in wishing John well in his future endeavors.”

The company said Schroeder has more than 40 years of experience in accounting, corporate control and reporting, finance, operations, and CEO and CFO strategic roles.

Schroeder previously was president and chief executive of Novipax Buyer LLC in a carve-out transaction from December 2020 through 2024.

Before that, he was CFO of Novipax LLC from February 2019 to November 2020. Schroeder also was CFO before being promoted to president and CEO at Xcaliber International LTD LLC from 2016 to 2018. Between 2002 and 2016, he was CFO for Orchids Paper Products. Earlier in his career, Schroeder worked in large accounting and finance organizations for Cummins Engine Co. and Atlas Van Lines Inc.

BGSF provides consulting, managed services, and workforce solutions to a variety of industries through its various divisions in IT, cyber, finance and accounting, and real estate (apartment communities and commercial buildings). It has integrated several regional and national brands, achieving scalable growth, the company added.
