Abstract: When incentivizing vendors to give greater discounts on items or services offered or advertised to specific customers on a third-party website in exchange for reduced advertisement pricing, a vendor enters offer parameters (e.g., item or service for sale, price or discount amount, terms of the offer, a permitted number of acceptances of the offer, etc.) into a user interface along with target customer criteria (e.g., age, gender, minimum income, etc.). The target criteria is matched to customer profile data, and an advertisement generated using the offer parameter information is presented to customers whose profiles match the target criteria. In return for offering larger discounts, a cost per event (CPE) associated with the advertisement is reduced for the vendor. An invoice is generated and transmitted to the vendor, and upon receipt of payment, the advertisement provider remits a portion of the received payment to the website owner.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for extracting micro-features at a pixel-level based on characteristics of one or more images. Importantly, the extraction is unsupervised, i.e., performed independent of any training data that defines particular objects, allowing a behavior-recognition system to forgo a training phase and for object classification to proceed without being constrained by specific object definitions. A micro-feature extractor that does not require training data is adaptive and self-trains while performing the extraction. The extracted micro-features are represented as a micro-feature vector that may be input to a micro-classifier which groups objects into object type clusters based on the micro-feature vectors.

Systems and methods for detecting motion events based on channel state information
Patent No. 12245187
Inventor(s): Anjaneya Pericharla (Irving, TX), Sagar Deepak Mahurkar (Frisco, TX), Sanjay Ahuja (Irving, TX), Srirama R. Kalidindi (Flower Mound, TX)
Assignee(s): Verizon Patent and Licensing Inc. (Basking Ridge, NJ)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 17823796 on 08/31/2022 (916 days app to issue)
Abstract: In some implementations, a first device may obtain first channel state information (CSI) of a second device. The first device may determine that a variance of the first CSI exceeds a variance threshold. The first device may determine that a motion event has occurred based on determining that the variance, of the first CSI, exceeds the variance threshold. The first device may determine a location of the motion event based on the first CSI and second CSI of a third device. The first device may adjust an operation of one or more devices associated with the location based on determining the motion event.

Application No., Date, Speed: 17556289 on 12/20/2021 (1170 days app to issue)
Abstract: System and methods for using channel quality reports to reduce inter-band interference are disclosed. Channel information is received at a first wireless communication device from a second wireless communication device. The first wireless device is operating in a first frequency range, and the second wireless device is operating in a second frequency range. The first frequency range is adjacent to the second frequency range. A channel quality report is generated at the first wireless communication device. The channel quality report indicates that particular sub-bands in the first frequency range have low channel quality. The particular sub-bands are selected using the channel information.

Method and apparatus for channel and interference measurement in a wireless communications system
Patent No. 12245261
Inventor(s): Dalin Zhu (Richardson, TX), Eko Onggosanusi (Coppell, TX)
Assignee(s): Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (Suwon-si, , KR)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 17657686 on 04/01/2022 (1068 days app to issue)
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for channel and interference measurement in a wireless communication system. A method for operating a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a reporting setting and receiving a resource setting associated with the reporting setting. The reporting setting is configured with a higher layer parameter reportQuantity that is set to at least cri-SINR. The resource setting is configured with a higher layer parameter resourceType that is set to aperiodic, periodic, or semi-persistent. The method further includes receiving a first set of reference signals (RSs) through a first set of RS resources; receiving a second set of RSs through a second set of RS resources; measuring at least one RS in the first or second sets of RSs; and determining, based on the reporting setting and the measured at least one RS, one or more layer-1 signal-to-noise and interference ratios (L1-SINRs).

Patent No. 12245262
Inventor(s): Salman Khan (Richardson, TX)
Assignee(s): InterDigital Patent Holdings, Inc. (Wilmington, DE)
Law Firm: Flaster Greenberg P.C. (2 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 18511322 on 11/16/2023 (474 days app to issue)
Abstract: The present application at least describes a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) including a processor and non-transitory memory including stored instructions which are executed by the processor. The instructions include receiving, from a base station, configuration information indicating a set of channel state information interference channel measurement (CSI-ICM) resources for the WTRU. The configuration information indicates a period and an offset for the set of CSI-ICM resources. The instructions also include receiving, from the base station, downlink control information (DCI) indicating a subset of the set of CSI-ICM resources. The instructions further include measuring the subset of CSI-ICM resources. The instructions even further include transmitting feedback to the base station based on the subset of CSI-ICM resources. The instructions yet even further include receiving a MAC control element (CE) indicating an activation of a CSI report from the base station.

Application No., Date, Speed: 17714985 on 04/06/2022 (1063 days app to issue)
Abstract: A computer mediated communication system includes a plurality of communication devices, a wireless transceiver, a computer system configured to wirelessly communicate with the communication devices via the wireless transceiver and mediate communications among the communication devices. The computer system a memory coupled with a processor. The processor parses, in response to an initiator providing an ambiguous input to the computer mediated communication system requesting a communication interaction, the processor: parses the ambiguous input for information about a desired target of the communication interaction; matches the information about the desired target against maintained target data to select a list of potential targets; computes likelihoods the potential targets of being the desired target; ranks the potential targets based on their respective likelihoods of being the desired target; and disambiguates the ambiguous input by communicatively coupling the initiator with at least one of the potential targets based on the ranking.
