Loupe-face shield protector
Patent No. 11903431
Inventor(s): Stephen Montero (Richardson, TX)
Assignee(s): UNASSIGNED
Law Firm: Temmerman Law (1 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 17232032 on 04/15/2021 (1041 days app to issue)
Abstract: A face protecting apparatus for protecting a user from droplets and solids containing bacteria, viruses, and other hazardous materials. The apparatus includes a face shield and a frame member. The face shield includes an elongated planar surface, a plurality of bilateral angled creases and a plurality of openings. The elongated planar surface creates a seal at the user”s chest when the user bends forward thereby providing a protective barrier to ejected debris. The bilateral angled creases provide a concave configuration to the face shield that brings the face shield into close proximity to the face of the user. The openings enable a fiber optic LED light and a plurality of loupe magnifiers of a loupe device worn by the user to protrude therethrough thus enabling the user to wear the face protecting apparatus in combination with the loupe device and the fiber optic LED light without any obstruction.

Assignee(s): Dell Products L.P. (Round Rock, TX)
Law Firm: Egan, Enders Huston LLP. (10 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 16356707 on 03/18/2019 (1800 days app to issue)
Abstract: In some examples, a computing device creates an event log when an event occurs. If the event log includes a path comprising one or more components, the computing device may determine a hash, using a hash function and a salt, for each of the components and substitute each component in the path with an index to the hash stored in a dictionary. In this way, the computing device replaces each component of the path with an index to a hash in the dictionary to create a modified path. The resulting modified path can be traversed and searched. For example, a search term may be hashed using the hash function and salt, and the dictionary associated with the logs searched for a match. In this way, a particular file name or a particular folder name can be identified in the modified path.

Selective etches for reducing cone formation in shallow trench isolations
Patent No. 11908729
Inventor(s): Jonathan Philip Davis (Allen, TX), Karen Hildegard Ralston Kirmse (Richardson, TX)
Assignee(s): TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INCORPORATED (Dallas, TX)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 17478306 on 09/17/2021 (886 days app to issue)
Abstract: Techniques of fabricating shallow trench isolation structures that reduce or minimize the number of trench cones during the formation of shallow trenches. The disclosed techniques introduce separate etch steps for etching shallow trenches with small feature dimensions and for etching shallow trenches with large feature dimensions. As an example, the disclosed techniques involve etching a first shallow trench in a first region of a substrate with a first etching parameter, and etching a second shallow trench in a second region of a substrate with a second etching parameter different from the first etching parameter. Among other things, the etching parameter may include an etching selectivity ratio of silicon to an etch retardant that contributes to cone formations. Because of the separate etch steps, the disclosed techniques allow the sidewall slopes between the first and second shallow trenches to be within a few degrees of deviation.

Application No., Date, Speed: 17712000 on 04/01/2022 (690 days app to issue)
Abstract: A multi-band antenna has a feed point, a grounding location, a first portion for low band operation, a second portion for low band operation, and one or more portions for high band operation. The ground reference of the feed point for the multi-band antenna is connected to a separate object that may provide a base for the multi-band antenna. The feed point of the multi-band antenna may be spaced above the base and have a space between the feed point and a location for the ground point. The low band portion has multiple resonances that are often odd multiples of the lowest resonant response. The portions that resonant most dominantly in the high band often have multiple resonances that are even multiples of the lowest high band resonance. The multi-band antenna has resonances spaced closely enough to appear to be a wide band antenna above the fundamental high band resonance.

Application No., Date, Speed: 17963411 on 10/11/2022 (497 days app to issue)
Abstract: Authentication of a networked device with limited computational resources for secure communications over a network. Authentication of the device begins with the supplicant node transmitting a signed digital certificate with its authentication credentials to a proxy node. Upon verifying the certificate, the proxy node then authenticates the supplicant”s credentials with an authentication server accessible over the network, acting as a proxy for the supplicant node. Typically, this verification includes decryption according to a public/private key scheme. Upon successful authentication, the authentication server creates a session key for the supplicant node and communicates it to the proxy node. The proxy node encrypts the session key with a symmetric key, and transmits the encrypted session key to the supplicant node which, after decryption, uses the session key for secure communications. In some embodiments, the authentication server encrypts the session key with the symmetric key.

Abstract: Embodiments are provided herein for determining a synchronizing master for device-to-device (D2D) communication in a cellular network environment. In an embodiment, a user equipment (UE) receives a discovery signal comprising a timing reference, and determines a transmitter of the discovery signal. In accordance with the determination of the transmitter of the discovery signal, the UE performs one of synchronizing to the timing reference in the discovery signal and transmitting a second discovery signal. The UE performs the synchronizing to the timing reference if the transmitter of the discovery is a cellular network. Alternatively, the UE transmits the second discovery signal upon determining that the transmitter of the discovery signal is a second UE that is out of coverage of a cellular network.
