The group’s diverse membership includes professionals from various backgrounds and industries. From senior corporate leaders to recent graduates, its community shares a genuine passion for AI and its potential for transformation.

Dallas AI hosts a variety of meetups, talks, and workshops in partnership with industry leaders and academic institutions. Collaborations with tech giants and other organizations such as Google, Microsoft, IBM, Verizon, MIT, University of Texas, and Southern Methodist University give access to cutting-edge AI research and insights.

The direction of Dallas AI is steered by AI executives and MIT alumni leaders Aamer Charania and Babar Bhatti. Aamer Charania, head of applied machine learning at Best Buy and former president of the MIT Club of Dallas, brings his expertise to the organization. Babar Bhatti, AI customer success at IBM and former chair of the MIT Enterprise Forum of Dallas, contributes insight to support the growth of the Dallas AI community.

The UT Dallas Office of Research & Innovation and Richardson IQ, the premier research & tech hub, has provided the nonprofit space to promoted AI innovation in North Texas.
