Wisconsin-based ORBIS Corp., a global leader in reusable packaging solutions, cut the ribbon recently on its renovated, “state-of-the-art” manufacturing facility in Greenville, around 50 miles northeast of Dallas. In operation since earlier this year, the facility produces reusable plastic tote crates and pallets that move, store, and protect product in the supply chain.
Following one of its core missions of sustainability, ORBIS repurposed and modernized the existing facility, which features 420,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 240,000 square feet of warehouse space.

The facility is slated to create more than 190 new jobs within three years, the company said, “with room for future expansion.”
ORBIS President Norm Kukuk said the manufacturing plant “marks a significant milestone” for his company.
“This renovated facility not only expands our manufacturing capabilities and geographic reach but also reinforces our commitment to sustainability and innovation,” he added in a statement. “By repurposing an existing building and investing in advanced automation, we’re better positioned to serve our customers with speed, efficiency and environmentally responsible solutions. It’s a proud moment for our team and the Greenville community.”

Speakers noted the city’s strategic location and robust business environment, along with its strong ties to the local technical college and support from workforce and economic development agencies.
