The Plano Art Association and Historic Downtown Plano Association are teaming up for three new mural projects in the city.
Two of the murals will be on 15th Street in downtown Plano and a third location that will be determined.
The city is seeking artists to create the murals and asking community members to submit photos of historic downtown Plano to derive inspiration for the artworks. Current plans are to have the murals in place by April.
A $68,000 grant from the city’s Heritage Commission will fund the public art, according to Community Impact Newspaper.
