Lennox Names Former Honeywell Exec as EVP, President of Home Comfort Solutions

Sarah Martin has more than 25 years of global leadership in manufacturing and technology, with her last 13 years spent at Honeywell International.

Richardson-based climate control solutions provider Lennox has appointed Sarah Martin as EVP and president of Home Comfort Solutions, effective April 28, succeeding Gary Bedard, who will retire from Lennox at the end of April after 26 years with the company.

“Sarah is a proven leader who brings a critical skillset to our Home Comfort Solutions segment with her deep expertise in leading large-scale businesses, optimizing distribution channels, and driving growth in profitability,” Lennox CEO Alok Maskara said in a statement. “Her disciplined approach to transformation will be invaluable as Lennox continues to focus on North America growth to deliver exceptional value to our customers and shareholders.”

Lennox said that Martin has more than 25 years of global leadership in manufacturing and technology, including the last 13 years at Honeywell International Inc.

Most recently, she was president of Honeywell Sensing Solutions and previously served as president of Honeywell Sensing & Safety Technologies and Honeywell Advanced Sensing Technologies. Before Honeywell, Martin held various commercial and operational leadership roles at CTS Corporation, a global electronics manufacturing service provider.

“I’m honored to join Lennox, a true leader in the HVAC industry with a legacy of innovation and operational excellence,” Martin said in a statement. “I look forward to working with the talented team to drive sustained results and growth, while continuously enhancing our customer experience to ensure Lennox remains at the forefront of delivering industry-leading home climate control solutions.”

Bedard joined Lennox in 1998 as a district manager in the Lennox residential business unit and grew to lead the Lennox residential business unit and eventually the Home Comfort Solutions segment, the company said.

“I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Gary for his leadership of the Home Comfort Solutions segment,” Maskara said. “Gary’s leadership has guided Home Comfort Solutions through significant growth and leaves a legacy that will continue to shape our future. We thank him for his contributions and wish him the best in his well-deserved retirement from Lennox.”
