Klyde Warren Park Goes Pink for ‘Barbie’ as Barbenheimer Weekend Looms

Dallas’ Klyde Warren Park is going pink every night this week to celebrate Friday’s opening of “Barbie,” one of two blockbuster summer movies landing in Dallas-Fort Worth this weekend, the park announced on Facebook.

Hollywood expects this weekend’s collision of “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer”—dubbed Barbenheimer by cheeky insiders—to give the motion picture theater business a much-needed box-office jolt. Forecasts point to a $100 million and $50 million opening, respectively.

But back to that pink stuff. The Barbie craze has tapped a love for the color that’s sweeping the Dallas area far beyond Klyde Warren Park.

CultureMap Dallas dropped the “Barbie” roundup of all “Barbie” roundups Wednesday, spotlighting 17 ways you can live your dream doll life—from Barbie drinks at Bar Louie to Barbie macarons at Savor Patisserie to a “Barbie in a Blender” art show at Daum Gallery.

Not to mention a Barbie pool party at The Westin Irving and a Barbie-themed brunch at La Neta Cocina y Lounge.
