Irving’s Vesper Energy Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

In January, Krish Koomar will succeed Robert Scheuermann, who's decided to pursue other opportunities. Scheuermann will work with Koomar through December to ensure a smooth transition.

Krish Koomar, an energy sector veteran, has been appointed as the new chief financial officer of Irving-based Vesper Energy, effective in January.

Koomar succeeds Robert Scheuermann, who has decided to pursue other opportunities, the company said.

“I’m honored to join Vesper Energy during this exciting time,” Koomar said in a statement. “I look forward to working with the talented team at Vesper Energy to advance the company’s financial strategy as we continue to grow our footprint throughout the industry and beyond.”

Koomar brings more than 20 years of experience in renewable energy, conventional power, and the banking sector, Vesper said.

Most recently, he was senior vice president and CFO at California-based esVolta LP. His prior roles include vice president and assistant treasurer at NRG Energy Inc. and managing director of finance at Edison Mission Energy.

Scheuermann’s leadership over the past four years was instrumental in Vesper Energy’s growth, the company said.

“We extend our gratitude to Robert for his pivotal contributions in building our capital markets, FP&A, portfolio management, and accounting functions,” Mark Rostafin, co-CEO of Vesper Energy, said in a statement. “We are also grateful for his continued support during this transition.”

Koomar and Scheuermann will collaborate during the transition period through December, Vesper said.

Vesper Energy comprises professionals who have collectively delivered more than 10 GW of renewable energy projects globally.

Working with its customers, communities, and business partners, Vesper Energy develops, owns, and operates renewable energy projects across the nation. Its development pipeline includes more than 55 renewable energy and energy storage assets with a generating capacity of 17 GW— enough to power more than 2 million homes.
