Hire Dynamics, a top commercial staffing company based in Atlanta, is strengthening its presence across the South with two recent Texas-based acquisitions. The firm acquired Dallas-based staffing provider Select Staff in October and most recently, Houston-based The Daniel Group.
In July, Hire Dynamics opened a Lewisville office.
“Texas is an exciting and important opportunity for Hire Dynamics,” Hire Dynamics CEO Billy Milam said in a statement.
The acquisitions and expansion will allow Hire Dynamics to serve clients and provide jobs for talent across 22 locations in the Lone Star State, as well its Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee offices for a total of 69 branches.
Together they aim to significantly accelerate growth, specializing in matching employers and talent in manufacturing, logistics, e-commerce, office support, and more.
Labor in demand
Hire Dynamics puts some 11,000 people to work every day at its more than 1,500 client locations, according to the company.
The company announced the acquisition of Houston’s The Daniel Group on November 1, on the heels of its Select Staff acquisition that closed October 1.
“There are so many opportunities in the Texas market,” Jennifer Hewitt, president of Select Staff, said in a statement. “We have a strong vision for growth, and we can do that now as part of Hire Dynamics.”
Hewitt, who has been with Select Staff for 28 years, will join the Hire Dynamics team and support Regional Manager Lisa Cooney in the transition of employees and operations.
Hewitt, who has worked in “all functions” as she advanced in the company says it will continue to serve light industrial and logistics clients to solve the challenges they face.
The Dallas deal comes as Texas’s unemployment rate, at 5.9 percent, remains slightly higher than the national rate of 5.2% according to an August 2021 report by the Texas Workforce Commission, the company noted.
Hire Dynamics entered the Dallas market in July
The Lewisville office was Hire Dynamics’ first foray into Texas this year.
“We’ve been planning to expand our footprint in Texas for some time and with Dallas’ explosive jobs growth, it was clear the time to do so was now,” said Clooney at the time.
“We’re eager to tap into the expansive local talent pool and help people find the opportunities that will lead to successful careers in the manufacturing and logistics industries.”
Tapping talent in Texas
The Houston acquisition of The Daniel Group lets Hire Dynamics “tap talent” in almost all the state’s markets, the company said.
The deal also brings the firm “deep expertise in placing engineering professionals in Texas’ power industry and expands its local capacity to fill finance and accounting roles,” it said.
People first, from culture to customers
Hire Dynamics, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, was founded with the mission to be the “No. 1 staffing company you’d refer to a friend and has been named a “Best Place to Work” 39 times across its locations in various media.
Hire Dynamics CEO Milam looks for partners that “share a fundamental belief that a strong workplace culture drives growth.” The Texas companies mirror a people-first culture, the company notes.
Hire Dynamics itself ranks among the top 1 percent of more than 22,000 staffing companies as a winner of ClearlyRated’s “Best of Staffing for Client & Talent Satisfaction” for 12 consecutive years, the company said.
Hire Dynamics is owned by Atlanta private equity firm MSouth Equity Partners. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
