Global Tech Company Mastek Appoints President of the Americas

Vijay Iyer brings global IT experience to Mastek, a turnkey digital engineering and cloud transformation partner delivering innovative solutions for clients in healthcare and life sciences, retail, manufacturing, financial services, government/public sector, and more.

India-based Mastek, whose U.S. headquarters is in Dallas, announced that Vijay Iyer has been appointed as president of the Americas and will be based in and operate from the United States.

“Vijay comes with extensive experience in driving revenue and value creation for clients in global IT services organizations. I look forward to Vijay’s leadership as we accelerate growth from account mining, large deals and focused vertical go-to-market motions in healthcare, manufacturing & tech, and retail/consumer industries in the Americas,” Hiral Chandrana, global CEO, Mastek Group said in a statement.

Experienced tech executive

Before coming to Mastek, Iyer was an executive at Persistent Systems working as senior vice president of their Digital Transformation Consulting and Large Deals Business.

Iyer has more than three decades of experience across strategy development, marketing and sales, organizational development, adviser relationships, leading large deals, and delivery.

Mastek said he has deep expertise in creating, growing and stabilizing new lines of business in industry verticals, digital engineering, and enterprise IT services.

Prior to Persistent, Iyer worked in several leadership roles with global organizations such as HCL Tech & DXC Technology, Hexaware Technologies and Cignex Datamatics Inc.

Iyer will be driving the entire Americas business P&L leveraging Mastek’s differentiated portfolio of offerings in cloud, enterprise IT and digital engineering and experience.

As part of the previously announced role of Prameela Kalive as COO, Mastek said that Oracle global delivery is completely integrated in the last 12 months and now operates as part of One Mastek aligned to each of our regional P&L units: Americas, United Kingdom & Europe, and AMEA.

In this new role, Iyer will succeed Umang Nahata.
