Luke Savoie has been appointed as the new president and CEO of Fort Worth-based Elbit Systems of America, succeeding Raanan Horowitz, who served for two decades.
Savoie joined Elbit America in 2023 as president and CEO-elect where he worked closely with Horowitz to ensure the company’s continued growth and success, while becoming familiar with the company’s team and culture. Savoie has a strong track record as a leader and innovator, with extensive experience in the defense and aerospace industry, the company said.
“We’re grateful to Raanan and thankful for the decades of service he devoted to Elbit America—especially the 16 years serving as president and CEO,” Robert Johnson, chairman of the board of Elbit Systems of America, said in a statement. “Under his leadership the company experienced tremendous success and growth—both acquisitively and organically—from about $500 million in revenue when Raanan’s tenure began, to more than $1.4 billion in 2022.”
Horowitz will continue to support Elbit America as executive advisor until his retirement on March 31, the company said.
“It is an honor to lead Elbit America—a company renowned for its excellence, ethics and innovation,” Savoie said in a statement. “I’m excited to move into this next phase and help our talented workforce innovate new solutions to meet our customers’ most challenging needs. “
