Abstract: A process for aging gas lift valves utilizing a controlled decompression to prevent damage to seals of the gas lift valves. The process includes pressuring one or more gas lift valves to a predetermined pressure (e.g., 5000 psig) and maintaining this pressure for a predetermined time (e.g. five minutes). After this time period, decompression is performed in discrete steps. For instance, the pressure of the pressure vessel may be reduced in predetermined pressure increments (i.e. reductions). After each pressure reduction, the reduced pressure is maintained for a predetermined time. This allows gasses and fluids within the elastomeric O-rings time to dissipate without causing damage to the seals.

Abstract: An HVAC system includes a reversing valve configured to receive compressed refrigerant and direct the refrigerant based on an operating mode. One or more suction-side sensors measure suction-side properties associated with refrigerant, including a suction-side temperature and a suction-side pressure. One or more liquid-side sensors measure liquid-side properties associated with the refrigerant. A controller monitors the suction-side pressure and liquid-side pressure and determines a ratio of the liquid-side pressure to the suction-side pressure. The controller further determines whether the suction-side temperature has an increasing trend. If the suction-side temperature has the increasing trend, the reversing valve is determined to be in an equalizing configuration. The equalizing configuration corresponds to a configuration in which the refrigerant provided from the outlet of the compressor is directed to the inlet of the compressor without first being directed to other components of the HVAC system.

Abstract: A method of using detection devices for hazard detection when activating a physical closure member of an automobile generates a combined output signal from a first-detection device having a first-operational range and a second-detection device having a second-operational range. The combined output signal is generated for activity detected within a full-operational range, wherein the full-operational range is a mathematical union of the first-operational range and the second-operational range. A cumulative safety threshold is determined for the physical closure member using processing circuitry. Hazard-related data within the combined output signal is analyzed using processing circuitry. If the hazard-related data exceeds the cumulative safety threshold, a current state of the physical closure member is changed. If the hazard-related data does not exceed the cumulative safety threshold, a current state of the physical closure member is maintained.

The reduced sizes of the LRA matrices allow for inferencing to be performed more quickly and with less power. In a high performance and energy efficiency mode, a reduced rank for the SVD matrices stored on a memory die is determined and used to increase performance and reduce power needed for an inferencing operation.

The process associated with scanning can be dispensed with, which can improve attendee experiences, reduce costs associated with managing a venue, as well as other advantages. For example, instead of scanning a ticket at a point of ingress to the venue, a device of the user can self-scan the ticket, and then present indicia that indicates this process has occurred. The indicia can be presented to a guest services representative, who can verify that a valid ticket was redeemed by merely observing the indicia and without scanning.

Abstract: An interconnect structure for use in coupling transistors in an integrated circuit is disclosed, including various configurations in which ferroelectric capacitors exhibiting negative capacitance are coupled in series with dielectric capacitors. In one embodiment, the negative capacitor includes a dielectric/ferroelectric bi-layer. When a negative capacitor is electrically coupled in series with a conventional dielectric capacitor, the series combination behaves like a stable ferroelectric capacitor for which the overall capacitance can be measured experimentally, and tuned to a desired value. The composite capacitance of a dielectric capacitor and a ferroelectric capacitor having negative capacitance coupled in series is, in theory, infinite, and in practice, very large. A series combination of positive and negative capacitors within a microelectronic interconnect structure can be used to make high capacity DRAM memory cells.

Abstract: A vacuum channel transistor having a vertical gate-all-around (GAA) architecture provides high performance for high-frequency applications, and features a small footprint compared with existing planar devices. The GAA vacuum channel transistor features stacked, tapered source and drain regions that are formed by notching a doped silicon pillar using a lateral oxidation process. A temporary support structure is provided for the pillar during formation of the vacuum channel. Performance of the GAA vacuum channel transistor can be tuned by replacing air in the channel with other gases such as helium, neon, or argon. A threshold voltage of the GAA vacuum channel transistor can be adjusted by altering dopant concentrations of the silicon pillar from which the source and drain regions are formed.

Law Firm: Straub Straub (1 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 17409176 on 08/23/2021 (645 days app to issue)
Abstract: A user device includes and maintains a geolocation list (GLL) including sets of information corresponding to Citizens Broadband radio Services Devices (CBSDs). The GLL stored in the user device contains entries corresponding to the areas most recently visited by the UE, each entry including location information of a CBSD. User devices typically frequent a limited set of the same areas repetitively. Thus this maintained relatively small list provides the UE with a highly relevant set of information which can be quickly accessed without additional wireless signaling and the additional power loss associated with a typical search. When the UE desires to find and connect to a CBSD, the UE first searches its GLL for a CBSD providing coverage in its currently located area. However, if GLL search does not identify a CBSD, then the UE sends a request to a geolocation server for active CBSDs.
