Law Firm: Carstens, Allen Gourley, LLP (no location found)
Application No., Date, Speed: 16825712 on 03/20/2020 (1173 days app to issue)
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring the blood pressure of a patient that allows for a device sensor to be recalibrated according to atmospheric pressure without removing the device sensor from inside the patient. This permits quickly monitoring the blood pressure of a patient if a re-zero is needed. The invention has a blood pressure monitor (BPM) that obtains an atmospheric pressure observation. The atmospheric pressure observation is adjusted and stored to memory as a zero value. The zero value is retrieved to recalibrate the system and method if a device sensor has been disconnected from and reconnected to the same or a different BPM, the patient has been moved such that the surroundings have been altered to make it necessary to recalibrate according to atmospheric pressure, and/or the device sensor has been connected to a different patient care monitor.

Law Firm: McGuireWoods LLP (Local + 9 other metros)
Application No., Date, Speed: 16628483 on 06/19/2018 (1813 days app to issue)
Abstract: Display modules typically incorporate a transparent hard material such as glass on the outside of the module in order to better protect the display stack from scratches, dents, and other mechanical deformations. However, as displays move to novel form factors such as bendable, foldable, and reliable display modules, these transparent hard materials (e.g., glass) may not be used due to their limited flexibility. Therefore, it is desirable that replacement materials be sufficiently flexible while maintaining the desirable optical (e.g., 90% transmission and low yellow index) and mechanical properties (e.g., pencil hardnessH) that comparable glass hard materials offer.

Assignee(s): Texas Instruments Incorporated (Dallas, TX)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 17306350 on 05/03/2021 (764 days app to issue)
Abstract: This disclosure is directed to the problem of paralleling random read access within a reasonably sized block of data for a vector SIMD processor. The invention sets up plural parallel look up tables, moves data from main memory to each plural parallel look up table and then employs a look up table read instruction to simultaneously move data from each parallel look up table to a corresponding part a vector destination register. This enables data processing by vector single instruction multiple data (SIMD) operations. This vector destination register load can be repeated if the tables store more used data. New data can be loaded into the original tables if appropriate. A level one memory is preferably partitioned as part data cache and part directly addressable memory. The look up table memory is stored in the directly addressable memory.

Abstract: An isolating repeater and corresponding method for Universal Serial Bus (USB) communications. The isolating repeater includes, on either side of a galvanic isolation barrier, front end circuitry coupled to a pair of external terminals, a full speed (FS) transceiver adapted to drive and receive signals over one or more FS isolation channels, and a high speed (HS) transceiver adapted to drive signals over a one HS isolation channel and receive signals over another HS isolation channel. The front end circuitry encodes received signals corresponding to HS data into two-state signals for transmission over one HS isolation channel, and encodes received signals corresponding to HS signaling into two-state signals for transmission over one or more of the FS isolation channels. The front end circuitry on the other side of the isolation barrier decodes the two-state signals received over the one or more FS isolation channels and the two-state signals received over the HS isolation channel for transmission at its external terminals.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for refresh address masking. A memory device may refresh word lines as part of refresh operation by cycling through the word lines in a sequence. However, it may be desirable to avoid activating certain word lines (e.g., because they are defective). Refresh masking logic for each bank may include a fuse latch which stores a selected address associated with a word line to avoid. When a refresh address is generated it may be compared to the selected address. If there is a match, a refresh stop signal may be activated, which may prevent refreshing of the word line(s).

Abstract: Technology for two-sided adjacent memory cell interference mitigation in a non-volatile storage system is disclosed. During reading of target memory cells, the storage system applies a suitable magnitude read pass voltage to a first unselected word line adjacent to a target word line to compensate for interference from adjacent cells on the first unselected word line while applying a suitable magnitude read reference voltage to the target word line to compensate for interference from adjacent cells on a second unselected word line on the other side of the target word line. The read pass voltage may compensate for interference due to charge being added to when programming cells on the first unselected word line after programming the target cells. The read reference voltage may compensate for interference due to charge movement near the target cells that results from charge stored in the cells on the second unselected word line.

Method for suppressing gate oxide tunnel current in non-volatile memory to reduce disturbs

Application No., Date, Speed: 16734517 on 01/06/2020 (1247 days app to issue)
Abstract: A disturb management technique for a non-volatile memory including first and second memory cells includes programming the first memory cell by applying a first voltage to a first word line coupled to the first memory cell and a second voltage to a terminal, such as a source terminal, shared by the first memory cell and the second memory cell. A non-zero third voltage having the same sign as the second voltage is applied to a second word line coupled to the second memory cell. The applied non-zero third voltage reduces a tunnel current across a gate oxide that insulates the second word line from a substrate of the second memory cell. This results in the second memory cell having a lower likelihood of being disturbed when programming the first memory cell.

Re-programmable integrated circuit architecture and method of manufacture
Patent No. 11670390
Inventor(s): Anand Seshadri (Richardson, TX), Michael Allen Ball (Richardson, TX)
Assignee(s): Texas Instruments Incorporated (Dallas, TX)

Application No., Date, Speed: 17488008 on 09/28/2021 (616 days app to issue)
Abstract: A re-programmable integrated circuit (IC) includes a plurality of non-volatile memory elements, each including a fuse portion initially configured to have either a first resistance value or a second resistance value. Re-programming circuitry includes a controllable element coupled to each fuse portion and selectively operable to cause an electrical current to flow through the fuse portion sufficient to cause that fuse portion to transition to an altered state having a resistance value greater than the first and second resistance values. Reference resistance circuitry is configurable between an initial state and a re-programmed state. Read circuitry determines the logic state of each of the memory elements using a comparator circuit operable to sense the resistance value of a fuse portion and the reference resistance, whether in the initial or re-programmed state, wherein the logic state of a memory element is a function of whether the resistance value of the fuse portion is greater than or less than the reference resistance.

Law Firm: Ascenda Law Group, PC (1 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 16786582 on 02/10/2020 (1212 days app to issue)
Abstract: A wireless communication system transmits information to a communication terminal moving through a spot wireless area. In an integrated base station, an external information communication section controls communication with a server. A contents memory section stores contents received from the server. A wireless LAN communication section communicates with the communication terminal. A control section establishes connection with the communication terminal using a first connection not requiring an authentication procedure for connection with the communication terminal or using a second connection requiring the authentication procedure for connection with the communication terminal. An access control (restriction) section permits access from the communication terminal to the contents memory section and prohibits access to the server when a type of connection with the communication terminal is the first connection and permits access from the communication terminal to the contents memory section and to the server in the case of the second connection.
