Dallas-based American Restoration has been acquired by investment funds managed by Morgan Stanley Capital Partners (MSCP), the middle-market focused private equity team at Morgan Stanley Investment Management.

American Restoration is a provider of residential and commercial property mitigation and restoration services. MSCP said it’s partnering with the current management team led by CEO Dan Tarantin, who will continue to lead the business.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We could not be more excited to partner with MSCP for the next chapter of our growth and evolution,” Tarantin said in a statement. “We look forward to leveraging MSCP’s expertise operating across the residential and commercial services space, as well as their demonstrated ability to help and support teams to accelerate organic growth and execute strategic acquisitions.”

American Restoration operates across 10 states through eight regional brands.

The company provides emergency and loss-related mitigation services as well as complementary follow-on repair and rebuild services to both residential and commercial customers. It says it has grown into a leading platform in the industry via a combination of strong organic growth, strategic M&A, and a focus on customers in their time of need.

“We’re excited to partner with Dan and the American Restoration team as they continue building a best-in-class platform across the residential and commercial restoration space. American Restoration represents our continued effort to invest in high-quality residential and commercial services companies, a sector in which we have deep institutional knowledge and expertise building industry-leading platforms,” said Adam Shaw, managing director and head of business services at MSCP.

Shaw added that the MSCP team is looking forward to combining forces with American Restoration “to continue accelerating the company’s exciting growth trajectory.”

MSCP said the acquisition represents its fifth residential and commercial services investment following partnerships with Sila Heating & Air Conditioning, Fairway Lawns, Allstar Services, and RowCal.
