Kenneth Douglas of Dallas is among the inventors of a space transportation system. The patented system uses tethers made of advanced materials like carbon nanotubes, equipped with electromagnets and tapering profiles, to transport passengers and cargo via electromagnetic levitation. Energy is generated from solar panels and vehicle movement. Fig. 3 shows the initial deployment of the counterweight and unspooling of the primary rail line by a de-spooling drone.
