Arlington-based Kinley Construction has expanded its operations with new regional offices in Houston, Kansas City, Denver, and Seattle, in what Kinley called a strategic expansion aimed at bringing the company closer to top local talent and enhance customer service nationwide.
“For decades, we’ve managed projects nationwide from our Texas headquarters,” Josh Crisafulli, CCO at Kinley Construction, said in a statement. “With advancements in technology and communication, we realized we can effectively replicate this structure from various locations. Alongside our new regional offices, we have a dozen managers and executives working remotely from South Texas, New York, Oklahoma, Florida, Nevada, and California. We are prepared to add more offices if needed to support these teams.”
Key drivers of the expansion
Per Kinley, four key drivers of the expansion are:
Proximity to Local Talent: Recognizing that top talent may not always be willing to relocate to Arlington, Texas, Kinley is opening offices in strategic locations to attract and hire skilled professionals within these communities.
Closer Customer Connections: The new offices will strengthen Kinley’s relationships with major clients, including those in Houston’s Energy Corridor, engineering partners and railroads in Kansas City, and various West Coast customers, enhancing its service delivery.
Enhanced Employee Flexibility: The expansion facilitates more flexible work arrangements, improving work-life balance, job satisfaction, and employee retention.
Specialized Expertise: Each new office is equipped to offer specialized regional services, with the capacity to expand and integrate all of Kinley’s product offerings:
- Houston: Specializes in electrical and energy projects
- Kansas City: Focuses on railroad-related work
- Denver: Concentrates on aviation projects
- Seattle: Expands commercial building services
Kinley said the expansion has already created more than 35 new jobs, with additional growth anticipated. It added that each new office is designed to accommodate further staff, underscoring Kinley’s commitment to long-term development and employee advancement.
The company said this nationwide growth highlights its adaptability and forward-thinking approach, shaped by lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic.
With the expansion, the company said it reaffirms its position as an industry leader, poised for “continued growth and innovation while seizing new opportunities across the nation.”
Originally founded in 1895
Kinley was originally founded in 1895 as Kinley and Sons, a family-owned and operated tannery and timber harvesting business in Western New York. That timber business is still in operation today. In 1911, the company formed Kinley Oil, which produced oil and gas in Western New York and Northwestern Pennsylvania for the next 80 years. Eventually, Kinley Oil began specializing in industrial construction and Kinley Corporation was formed in 1964 in Western New York state to serve the commercial construction business. In 2022, Kinley Construction formed Kinley Advanced Technical Services to offer nationwide service and maintenance solutions to the rotating equipment industry, including steam turbines, reciprocating and integral engines, and related compressors.
Today, Kinley is a leading industrial and mechanical contractor, specializing in construction, service, and maintenance of fuel terminals, facilities, platforms, industrial and environmental waste systems, rotating equipment, and associated buildings.
