The Garage, Capital One’s innovation center in Plano, has chosen entrepreneur Srishti Goel as the first participant in its free mentorship program for female business owners.
The Garage announced the new program, which is open to female business owners and entrepreneurs who are members of The Dallas Entrepreneur Center, last month during the WEDallas Boot Camp.
Goel, a University of Texas at Dallas alum and founder and CEO of Doggo, started the program last week. Over the next month, she’ll work with the innovation center’s team to find ways to accelerate her company through the product development lifecycle.
“Training is the single biggest factor in determining the quality of life of a dog.”

“I am so thrilled to have this opportunity to work with The Capital One Garage and Dallas Entrepreneur Center teams to take Doggo to the next level with agile experimentation,” Goel said in a statement.
Doggo is an app powered by artificial intelligence that helps owners train their dogs. Goel created the app after noticing dogs with problem behaviors being adopted from shelters, but then returned because they lacked good training.
Doggo uses adaptive learning to make puppy training affordable, accessible, and convenient.
“Training is the single biggest factor in determining the quality of life of a dog,” Goel said. “And it isn’t something that you can do for an hour a week in a class, or in a few weeks at a boarding kennel. It’s something you need to do every single day.”
The Garage coaches will help Goel with customer feedback through the app and provide hands-on guidance in design, lean experimentation, and agile development.
