Century Golf Partners Names New CFO as It Eyes Next Phase of Growth

The 21-year-old Dallas firm said the hire is key development as it looks to expand and diversify its portfolio. John Martus brings more than 30 years of financial leadership experience.

Dallas-based golf club and resort management firm Century Golf Partners, in partnership with Arnold Palmer Golf Management, has named John Martus, CPA, as chief financial officer.

The company said the hire marks a key moment in its 21-year history as it looks to accelerate growth and diversify its portfolio.

In his new role, Martus will lead accounting and finance and oversee financial strategy, including long-term planning, compliance, risk management, and fiscal discipline tied to the company’s expanding operations, Century Golf said.

“After two decades of consistent growth, we are entering a chapter that requires a specific caliber of financial experience,” founder and CEO Jim Hinckley said in a statement.

Hinckley said Martus brings the discipline and strategic perspective needed to scale operations and expand the business. He added that Martus’ ability to translate complex financial data into operational decisions makes him “the right leader” to help meet the company’s financial goals.

Martus brings more than 30 years of financial leadership experience across the restaurant, fitness, and marketing sectors. Most recently, he served as CFO of Yadav Enterprises. His background also includes senior roles at TruFit Athletic Clubs, Koko FitClub, Protocol, and Harte-Hanks.

He will work closely with Chief Operating Officer Doug Howe and the senior leadership team as the company pursues new growth opportunities, Century Golf said.

“Century Golf has built an exceptional reputation for stability and excellence,” Martus said in a statement.

He said he plans to build on that foundation by strengthening financial systems to support partners, club operations, and the company’s long-term growth.
