Deloitte Names Longtime Exec as Its New North Texas Managing Principal

As the managing principal, longtime company executive Eric Vroonland will drive the market’s strategy for growth, business development, social impact, and other strategic initiatives, Deloitte said.

Eric Vroonland has been named North Texas managing principal for Deloitte LLP, effective Feb. 1. He succeeds Dan Berner, partner, Deloitte & Touche LLP, who has served in the role for the past seven years and is transitioning to focus on client service leadership.

Deloitte’s North Texas practice brings together professionals providing audit, consulting, tax, and advisory services to clients across the region. As the managing principal, Vroonland will drive the market’s strategy for growth, business development, social impact, and other strategic initiatives, the company said.

“It’s a privilege to be named managing principal for the North Texas marketplace, which has been my home since I joined Deloitte 24 years ago,” Vroonland said in a statement. “I’m excited for the opportunity to serve our clients and the North Texas community while continuing the strong work delivered under Dan’s dedicated leadership.”

Vroonland, a principal in Deloitte Consulting LLP’s finance transformation practice, has more than two decades of consulting experience at Deloitte and has served in a number of leadership roles. Currently, Vroonland is the Dallas and Fort Worth Consulting leader and the sales and commercial excellence leader for the energy & chemicals sector.

In the community, Vroonland previously served on the board for YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas and is a long-time member of United Way’s Tocqueville Society.

“Eric brings deep industry experience and a strong record of results that will benefit our professionals and clients across the marketplace,” Berner said. “We’re grateful to have him step into this role, and I’m confident he’ll provide outstanding leadership for our North Texas teams and the broader community.”
