Managing and maintaining multiple debug contexts in a debug execution mode for real-time processors
Patent No. 12038826

Inventor(s): Gary A. Cooper (Oakmont, PA), Jason Lynn Peck (Houston, TX), Markus Koesler (Landshut, , DE)
Assignee(s): Texas Instruments Incorporated (Dallas, TX)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 17538498 on 11/30/2021 (959 days app to issue)

Abstract: A real-time debugger implementation maintains and manages multiple debug contexts allowing developers to interact with real-time applications without ”breaking” the system in which the debug application is executing. The debugger allows multiple debug contexts to exist and allows break points in real-time and non-real-time code portions of one or more applications executing on a debug enabled core of a processor. A debug monitor function may be implemented as a hardware logic module on the same integrated circuit as the processor. Higher priority interrupt service requests may be serviced while otherwise maintaining a context for the debug session (e.g., stopped at a developer defined breakpoint). Accordingly, the application developer executing the debugger may not have to be concerned with processing occurring on the processor that may be unrelated to the current debug session.

Patent No. 12038840

Inventor(s): Abhijeet Ashok Chachad (Plano, TX), David Matthew Thompson (Dallas, TX), Naveen Bhoria (Plano, TX)
Assignee(s): Texas Instruments Incorporated (Dallas, TX)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 18334740 on 06/14/2023 (398 days app to issue)

Abstract: In described examples, a coherent memory system includes a central processing unit (CPU), and first and second level caches, each with a cache controller. The CPU is arranged to execute program instructions to manipulate data in at least a first or second secure context. Each of the first and second caches stores a secure code for indicating the secure context by which data for a respective cache line is received. The first and second level caches maintain coherency in response to comparing the secure codes of respective lines of cache and executing a cache coherency operation in response. A requestor coupled to the second level cache may send a coherence read transaction to the second level cache controller, which upon an affirmative security check, generates a snoop read transaction and sends the same to the first level cache.

An update to firmware stored in the memory device and executed in the endpoint to generate the request is identified. The server system generates a verification code for a command executable in the memory device to perform the update. After receiving the command and the verification code, the memory device validates the verification code to determine whether to execute the command for firmware update.

Assignee(s): Micron Technology, Inc. (Boise, ID)
Law Firm: Greenberg Traurig (27 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 17705112 on 03/25/2022 (844 days app to issue)

Abstract: Schedule instructions of a program for execution on a coarse grained reconfigurable array having a plurality of tiles operable in parallel. The program identifies data flows through memory locations represented by memory variables and identifies instructions configured to transform data in the data flows. Based on a hardware profile identifying features of the coarse grained reconfigurable array, a scheduler is configured to generate a memory map. The memory map identifies, for each respective memory variable in the program, one of the tiles that contains a memory location represented by the respective memory variable. Based on the memory map reducing possible choices for a brute force search, the scheduler assigns the instructions to the tiles for execution, and determines timing of execution of the instructions in the tiles.

Double-disc structure for self-biased circulators monolithically integrated on semiconductors
Patent No. 12040525

Inventor(s): Yongjie Cui (Plano, TX), Yu Cao (Allen, TX)
Assignee(s): Qorvo US, Inc. (Greensboro, NC)
Law Firm: Withrow Terranova, P.L.L.C. (1 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 17360383 on 06/28/2021 (1114 days app to issue)

Abstract: A double-disc structure for self-biased circulators monolithically integrated on semiconductors is provided. A self-based circulator is attractive due to the great reduction in its size and weight compared to conventional circulators which have bulk permanent magnets. The development of miniaturized self-biased circulators enables monolithic integration of such circulators directly into monolithic integrated circuits (e.g., monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs)) on a single chip and opens the door to full-duplex communication in radio frequency (RF) bands higher than Ka band, without suffering from the additional losses through connectors. This disclosure demonstrates a new double-disc structure by using two self-biased discs in a circulator device, which greatly improve its insertion loss, isolation, bandwidth, and power handling capability.
