Application No., Date, Speed: 17443147 on 07/21/2021 (958 days app to issue)

Abstract: A method of determining a dry proppant concentration in a fracturing fluid includes combining a wet proppant with a carrier fluid in a mixer to form the fracturing fluid. The dry proppant concentration of the fracturing fluid leaving the mixer is determined using a moisture content of the wet proppant entering the mixer, wherein use of the moisture content prevents overestimation of the dry proppant concentration. The method can be preformed using a system for injecting fracturing fluid into a borehole, the fracturing fluid including a carrier fluid mixed with a wet proppant including a dry proppant dampened with a dampening liquid. The system includes a mixer operable to receive and mix the carrier fluid and the wet proppant to form the fracturing fluid, a frac pump operable to inject the fracturing fluid into the borehole, and a control system comprising a processor operable to receive a moisture content of the wet proppant before being mixed with the carrier fluid and programmed to determine a dry proppant concentration of the fracturing fluid formed in the mixer using a moisture content of the wet proppant, wherein use of the moisture content prevents overestimation of the dry proppant concentration.

Abstract: Technologies and techniques for vehicle perception. A first contour of a current image a dna second contour of a next image are determined relative to an optical center. The current image is scaled to the next image relative to the optical center, wherein the scaling includes applying a scale vector to the first contour. A frame offset vector is determined, and the second contour is translated, based on the frame offset vector and the scale vector, to align the translated second contour to a focus of expansion. An image velocity is determined, based on the first contour and the translated second contour, wherein the image velocity is used to determine object movement from the image data.

Abstract: The present invention provides specific systems, methods and algorithms based on artificial intelligence expert system technology for determination of preferred routes of travel for electric vehicles (EVs). The systems, methods and algorithms provide such route guidance for battery-operated EVs in-route to a desired destination, but lacking sufficient battery energy to reach the destination from the current location of the EV. The systems and methods of the present invention disclose use of one or more specifically programmed computer machines with artificial intelligence expert system battery energy management and navigation route control. Such specifically programmed computer machines may be located in the EV and/or cloud-based or remote computer/data processing systems for the determination of preferred routes of travel, including intermediate stops at designated battery charging or replenishing stations. Expert system algorithms operating on combinations of expert defined parameter subsets for route selection are disclosed. Specific fuzzy logic methods are also disclosed based on defined potential route parameters with fuzzy logic determination of crisp numerical values for multiple potential routes and comparison of those crisp numerical values for selection of a particular route. Application of the present invention systems and methods to autonomous or driver-less EVs is also disclosed.

Distance measurement using millimeter wave radar
Patent No. 11921229

Inventor(s): Adeel Ahmad (Plano, TX), Dan Wang (Allen, TX), Muhammad Zubair Ikram (Richardson, TX), Murtaza Ali (Cedar Park, TX)
Assignee(s): Texas Instruments Incorporated (Dallas, TX)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 17479002 on 09/20/2021 (897 days app to issue)

Abstract: An apparatus, including processing unit (PU) cores and computer readable storage devices storing machine instructions for determining a distance between a target object and a radar sensor circuit. The PU cores receive a beat signal generated by the radar sensor circuit and compensate for a phase difference between the received beat signal and a reconstruction of the received beat signal to obtain a phase compensated beat signal. The phase compensated beat signal is then filtered to remove spurious reflections by demodulating the phase compensated beat signal using an estimated frequency of the phase compensated beat signal. The PU cores then apply a low pass filter to the demodulated phase compensated beat signal, resulting in a modified beat signal. The PU cores then determine the distance between the target object and the radar sensor circuit using the modified beat signal.

Assignee(s): Texas Instruments Incorporated (Dallas, TX)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 17972675 on 10/25/2022 (497 days app to issue)

Abstract: A streaming engine employed in a digital data processor specifies a fixed read only data stream defined by plural nested loops. An address generator produces address of data elements for the nested loops. A steam head register stores data elements next to be supplied to functional units for use as operands. A stream template specifies loop count and loop dimension for each nested loop. A format definition field in the stream template specifies the number of loops and the stream template bits devoted to the loop counts and loop dimensions. This permits the same bits of the stream template to be interpreted differently enabling trade off between the number of loops supported and the size of the loop counts and loop dimensions.

Application No., Date, Speed: 17670821 on 02/14/2022 (750 days app to issue)

Abstract: The present disclosure provides for improving data retention reliability. During a programming operation associated with a memory cell, after the memory cell passes verification of a first verification voltage level, a second verification voltage level can be applied to the memory cell. Based on a comparison of the voltage in the memory cell with the second verification voltage level, a bit line voltage may be applied. Based on the applied bit line voltage, fast bits associated with the memory cell can be upshifted to an upper portion of a final voltage distribution associated with the programming operation. Upshifting the fast bits counteracts the downshifting effect in a final voltage distribution that may be caused by charge leakage or electron loss.

Abstract: Systems and methods for supplying power at a medium voltage from an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to a load without using a transformer are disclosed. The UPS includes an energy storage device, a single stage DC-DC converter or a two-stage DC-DC converter, and a multi-level inverter, each of which are electrically coupled to a common negative bus. The DC-DC converter may include two stages in a unidirectional or bidirectional configuration. One stage of the DC-DC converter uses a flying capacitor topology. The voltages across the capacitors of the flying capacitor topology are balanced and switching losses are minimized by fixed duty cycle operation. The DC-DC converter generates a high DC voltage from a low or high voltage energy storage device such as batteries and/or ultra-capacitors. The multi-level, neutral point, diode-clamped inverter converts the high DC voltage into a medium AC voltage using a space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) technique. The UPS may also include a small filter to remove harmonics in the AC voltage output from the multi-level inverter.
