Elections Industry Veteran Joins MTX Group of Vice President

Edwin Smith brings more than two decades of experience in the elections industry, and MTX said he will focus on driving transformation in election office business processes, security, reliability, and innovation.

MTX Group, a Frisco-based company, has announced that Edwin Smith has joined the firm as vice president of election solutions. According to MTX, this appointment is part of the company’s commitment to creating trusted, secure, and accessible election systems.

Smith brings more than two decades of experience in the elections industry, and MTX said he will focus on driving transformation in election office business processes, security, reliability, and innovation.

According to the company, Smith is an expert in election system product management, certification, usability, and security and has supported election deployments on multiple continents. He also has served on the executive committee of the Elections Infrastructure Sector Coordinating Council (EI-SCC), responsible for building resilience in protecting and defending our nation’s critical voting infrastructure.

MTX said that in his new role, Smith will be committed to providing digital transformation to ensure secure elections.
