Methods, apparatuses, and systems for inductive heating of foreign metallic implants
Patent No. 11864911

Inventor(s): David Greenberg (Dallas, TX), Rajiv Chopra (Dallas, TX), Yonatan Chatzinoff (Dallas, TX)
Assignee(s): The Board Of Regents Of The University Of Texas System (Austin, TX)
Law Firm: Trop, Pruner Hu, P.C. (2 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 17992050 on 11/22/2022 (413 days app to issue)

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, systems, and implementations for inductive heating of a foreign metallic implant are disclosed. A foreign metallic implant may be heated via AMF pulses to ensure that the surface of the foreign metallic implant heats in a uniform manner. As the surface temperature of the foreign metallic implant rises, acoustic signatures may be detected by acoustic sensors that may indicate that tissue may be heating to an undesirable level approaching a boiling point. Once these acoustic signatures are detected, the AMF pulses may be shut off for a time period to allow the surface temperature of the implant to cool before applying additional AMF pulses. In this manner, the surface temperature of a foreign metallic implant may be uniformly heated to a temperature adequate to treat bacterial biofilm buildup on the surface of the foreign metallic implant without damaging surrounding tissue. The AMF pulse treatment can be combined with an antibacterial/antimicrobial treatment regimen to reduce the time and/or antibacterial dosage amount needed to remove the biofilm from the metallic implant. Patent Class: [A61B] DIAGNOSIS; SURGERY; IDENTIFICATION (analysing biological material G01N, e.g. G01N 33/48)

Abstract: A layer of additive material is formed in a circular printing area on a substrate using additive sources distributed across a printing zone. The additive sources form predetermined discrete amounts of the additive material. The substrate and the additive sources are rotated with respect to each other around a center of rotation, so that a pattern of the additive material is formed in a circular printing area on the substrate. Each additive source receives actuation waveforms at an actuation frequency that is proportional to a distance of the additive source from the center of rotation. The actuation waveforms include formation signals, with a maximum of one formation signal in each cycle of the actuation frequency. The formation signals result in the additive sources forming the predetermined discrete amounts of the additive material on the substrate. Abstract: A channel stop and well dopant migration control implant (e.g., of argon) can be used in the fabrication of a transistor (e.g., PMOS), either around the time of threshold voltage adjust and well implants prior to gate formation, or as a through-gate implant around the time of source/drain extension implants. With its implant depth targeted about at or less than the peak of the concentration of the dopant used for well and channel stop implants (e.g., phosphorus) and away from the substrate surface, the migration control implant suppresses the diffusion of the well and channel stop dopant to the surface region, a more retrograde concentration profile is achieved, and inter-transistor threshold voltage mismatch is improved without other side effects. A compensating through-gate threshold voltage adjust implant (e.g., of arsenic) or a threshold voltage adjust implant of increased dose can increase the magnitude of the threshold voltage to a desired level. Law Firm: New River Valley IP Law, P.C. (1 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 16584369 on 09/26/2019 (1566 days app to issue)

Abstract: An electronic equipment enclosure which regulates incoming outside air to within the operational limits of the electronic equipment within is described. The enclosure recirculates the wasted heat from the equipment to regulate both the temperature and humidity within the enclosure to acceptable levels without relying on any heating or air conditioning component. Thus, the enclosure assembly relies entirely on air flow for regulating the temperature inside the enclosure. Additionally, the recirculation feature of the enclosure allows the electronic equipment to operate at outside temperatures much lower than the stated operational range by modifying the temperature of the intake air of the equipment. A method of controlling the temperature inside an enclosure is also described.
