Toyota Motors North America has partnered with the Plano Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes program in an effort to attract military veterans and spouses for its new 2-million-square-foot North American headquarters in Plano, according to Community Impact Newspaper.
“The team members who will soon join will be able to expand their horizons well beyond just the design, sale, and manufacturing of great cars, but also to develop products that will address mobility challenges for everyone,” Toyota CEO Jim Lentz said at an Oct. 13 preview event.
Roughly 350 jobs have already been posted to the foundation’s website at uschamberfoundation.org/hiring-our-heroes. These individuals could have the opportunity to work with Toyota’s research teams in providing products such as advanced safety systems designed for seniors and people with disabilities, according to Community Impact Newspaper.
