The 2026 FIFA World Cup is already expected to have $400 million in economic impact on Dallas-Fort Worth, with nine matches scheduled for AT&T Stadium—more than any of the other 15 host venues in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. But Dallas is aiming for even more. The Dallas City Council voted Wednesday to spend up to $15 million in improvements on the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center to help the city's bid to host the World Cup's International Broadcast Center.
