NURSE’S WEEK IS DESIGNED TO GIVE BACK TO NURSES FOR THEIR SACRIFICES
As Mother’s Day fun wraps up, I want to shine a light on another holiday that celebrates another mostly unsung job: nursing.
Nurse’s Week began May 6, and goes through May 12 every year. This week is designed to give back to the nurses that sacrifice so much, and show our appreciation for the caregivers that are often overlooked.
Our world is brighter because of nurses. I’ve been a nurse for more than 20 years, and I can attest to how hard nurses work and how much they care about their patients.
Nurses do so much, and are key to receiving great care, but receive little recognition. I’ve seen nurses inspire the best in their patients—gentleness, kindness and love.
I’m proud to be part of this community, and to continue working with such a strong group of people.
Take the time this week to thank a nurse that’s impacted you. It will mean a lot to them.
