DOWNTOWN DALLAS CAREER FAIR 
Tech Wildcatters, 211 N. Ervay St. in Dallas 
Noon – 4 p.m. 

Tech and startup career fair with employers looking for candidates to fill internships to full-time gigs. Last year’s event attracted more than 1,500 job seekers and employers.

SATURDAY, APRIL 15 

DALLAS DRONE SPONSORED FLY-IN 
Dallas Drone Flight Field, 300 NE 25th St. in Grand Prairie 
11 a.m. – 5 p.m. 

Dallas Drone and The HIVE Mind has opened the Dallas Drone flight area for use on an open basis. The area has power provided by generators, charging stations, and tables. It is a multi-acre area suitable for fixed wing, multi-rotor, and racing drones.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 19

DIGITAL DALLAS STARTUP COMEDY ROAST 
Dallas Comedy House, 3025 Main St. in Dallas
6 – 9 p.m.

Cocktails at 6 p.m. and pitches start at 7 p.m. Five startups will have 2 minutes each to pitch and then the improv troupe of DCH will put on a show. The presenting startups will be AMPlifi Sports wearable technology for youth; Inception Lighting IoT platform for home automated lighting; Brokenbox interest-based group restaurant and event selection app; Bonfire RV park and campground reservation management system; and Ride-a-long Media digital ad platform for the ride-share industry.

IGNITING A SMART TEXAS REVOLUTION 
Dallas Innovation Alliance, Fair Park 
April 20 at 8 a.m. — April 21 at 6 p.m. 

A two-day conference in conjunction with Earth Day Texas, focused on education and creating an aligned Smart City strategy across Texas, and at the state level.The core areas of focus are smart city education and collaboration in cities moving major initiatives forward, such as procurement, policy local/state/federal collaboration, as well as key smart city areas including energy, water, transportation, public safety and social equity.

4TH ANNUAL CROSSROADS OF TEXAS FILM FESTIVAL 2017
Waxahachie

This festival celebrates Waxahachie’s cinematic history and also pays tribute to a few favorite Texas-made films and Texan filmmakers. The lineup includes appearances from cast and crew, panel discussions, music, tributes, Q&A sessions, and parties.

EARTHxFILM PRESENTED BY EARTH DAY TEXAS 
Fair Park, 1300 Robert B. Cullum Blvd in Dallas 

Dallas’ first environmental film festival will debut with 18 feature films, 33 shorts, virtual reality projects, and works in progress that explore conservation, climate change, and the environment.

EARTH DAY TEXAS

The event brings together environmental organizations, businesses, academic institutions, government agencies, speakers, interactive programming, and subject matter experts along with live music and sustainable beer and food pavilions.
