The Dallas Foundation brings together people, ideas, and investments in Greater Dallas so individuals and families can reach their full potential. Using our deep knowledge of the community, we prioritize partnerships that reduce intergenerational poverty and meet today’s pressing needs while positioning Greater Dallas for a brighter, more equitable tomorrow.
Hand in hand with our donor partners, The Dallas Foundation stewards philanthropic resources and invests them where the people of Dallas need it most. We engage with our fundholders on a deeply personal level – educating, advising, collaborating, and investing in measurable solutions for the issues they have a heart for.
As a community foundation, we are able to offer the full spectrum of giving vehicles, from supporting organizations to donor-advised, field of interest, designated and agency funds, each of which allow donors to dictate their preferred level of engagement. Our team of advisors can help individuals and families understand the array of options and create customized plans for each unique situation.
Through our Community Impact Fund, The Dallas Foundation focuses on driving meaningful results for children and families. Building on our legacy of nurturing early childhood programs, our strategic priorities have evolved to include investments in the ages of birth to three that ensure a strong and healthy start, as well as programs that address advancing racial equity and inclusion.
Field of Interest Funds are endowed funds that can be customized to align with a donor’s interest in a specific cause. They are then entrusted to the Foundation to award grants that both meet the purpose of the fund and make an impact in our community. Field of Interest Funds cover a range of issues, including the arts, critical needs, low-income clients, and animal welfare.
The Dallas Foundation generally offers two grant funding cycles each year.
